Radiology is a branch of Medicine concerned with use of radiant energy ( such as X ray) or radioactive material in the diagnosis & treatment of diseases. Radiology is now the key diagnostic tool for many diseases and has an important role in monitoring treatment & predicting outcome. It has number of imaging modalities ( x ray, CT scan, MRI, USG,PET scan) in its armamentarium which have differing physical principles of varying complexity.
Department of Radiology started in year 2014 with course Diploma in CT scan and Diploma in MRI Scan with 30 students in each
AIM–
“To educate & Train young students with the existing and emerging concept of Paramedical & Allied health Science in respect to diagnostic radiography
Diagnostic radiographers employ a range of different imaging techniques and sophisticated equipment to produce high quality images of an injury or disease. They take the images using range of techniques including: X-rays, Mammography, Fluoroscopy, CT (computed tomography), MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), Nuclear medicine, Angiography etc.
